The defect involves the welded seam at the fabric to vehicle interface separating on Lippert Solera awnings up to 18 foot in length. In extreme cases the fabric could detach from the vehicle rail and remain attached to the awning frame. This could allow the awning to drop and extend beyond normal operation.
